Final Round AI Chrome Extension Tutorial

The wait is finally over! We are thrilled to announce that the Coding Interview Co-Pilot is now in Alpha Testing. This tutorial is designed to guide you through the new Final Round AI Chrome extension and its usage in coding interviews.

Before We Begin

If you are new to Interview Co-Pilot and Final Round AI, please refer to the tutorial on Interview Co-Pilot before getting started. Additionally, ensure you are using the most updated version of the Google Chrome browser for coding interviews.

Installing the Extension

To get started, you'll need to install the Final Round AI Chrome extension. Here's how:

  • Visit the Chrome Web Store and download the Final Round AI Chrome extension.
  • Click on "Add to Chrome" to install the extension.
  • After adding the extension, a gray box will be displayed until the installation is complete.

Setting Up the Interview Co-Pilot Session

Now that the extension is installed, let's set up the Interview Co-Pilot session:

  • The co-pilot is successfully connected.
  • Follow the normal procedure to create a goal for the interview and upload a resume.
  • Proceed to the coding co-pilot section by clicking on "Create Co-Pilot Session".
  • Select a resume goal and a coding language for the interview.
  • Click "Create" to proceed and then "Launch" to start the interview co-pilot session.
  • Agree to the terms of service and complete the audio settings.
  • A check mark will appear in the center of the gray box once the audio settings are ready to use.

Using the Interview Co-Pilot Extension

Now that the Interview Co-Pilot session is set up, let's explore how to use the extension:

  • Navigate to the Chrome tab where the coding question is displayed.
  • Click on the extension icon.
  • The extension captures a screenshot of the current tab.

Sending the Coding Question

  • Click on the interview co-pilot extension to send the entire coding question to the interview co-pilot.
  • The extension will turn yellow while the question is being sent, indicating that it is in progress.
  • Once the question is sent, the extension will turn green.

Additional Screenshots

  • You can take additional screenshots by clicking on the extension to override the previous one.
  • However, this may delay the response.

Sharing the Screenshot

  • The extension will share the screenshot with the interview co-pilot.

Status Indicators

  • "The Following" status: The interview co-pilot is working on the coding question.

Return to Interview Co-Pilot Page

  • Return to the interview co-pilot page, and support will appear momentarily.
  • The interview co-pilot is designed to guide you through the entire process, including the idea conceptualization phase and the coding phase.
  • It is intended to support you throughout the entire coding interview experience.

Code Interview Co-Pilot Walkthrough and Test Cases

  • Walkthrough Section: Provides a step-by-step explanation of the coding question and solution.
  • Code Section: Offers coding solutions for the interview questions.
  • Test Cases Section: Offers test cases for the coding questions to help evaluate the solution.

Using the Interview Co-Pilot

  • Exiting the Interview: After completing the interview, click on the "X" on the upper right-hand side to exit the interview.
  • Cool Down Period: Due to the high reputation power required for coding interviews, the extension has a cool down period after each response. This period lasts for 3 minutes.
  • Triggering the Solver Again: You can trigger the solver again after the cool down period has ended.
